Emma was founded in 2013 with the vision to revolutionize the sleep market. It started as an online multi-brand marketplace for bedding, in 2015 launched its own brand Emma® and developed into a vertically integrated sleep tech company with inhouse mattress development. Today, Emma is a true multinational company that employs more than 400 people and is present in more than 20 countries. In early 2020, the Haniel group acquired a majority stake in the firm. The founding team is continuing to lead the company's growth story.
